| The Palo Del Amo Woods Homeowners Association CERT was establish in 2009 with the purpose of coordinating our collective efforts in the face of any neighborhood- or city-wide disaster (e.g., fire, earthquake, etc.). With the loss of our 3 triage sites, we no longer will have the capability of serving our community as previously envisioned. The CERT Committee will continue, but in a smaller frame work or scope. Six Community members, two from each section of the Woods, will be given “Search & Rescue” backpacks. The backpacks will contain gas and water shutoff wrenches, first aid and other items. We will continue to disseminate CERT, First Aid, CPR training information for our community.
Over the years the CERT team has purchased items that can no longer be used. The initial thought was to move supplies to a public storage facility, but 24 hour availability is not possible because of the operating hours. The items that can be sold will be sold to members of our community first and then to the general public.
